Flying comforts

I have never been a fan of flying and I am always looking out for items that will ease my time spent on aeroplanes. Having tried many different products from long tight socks to prevent deep vein thrombosis, computer games to act as a distraction from the weird and wonderful world of flying to reading. The airports shops are filled full of regular items at inflated prices plus even more price-inflated gadgets.
Do any of them work or are they all an unnecessary expense, filling airport operator pockets? Well this really depends on the type of person that you are. If you enjoy a good book then this is probably the perfect opportunity to indulge in a new paperback, as there will be no interruptions with the exception of the food trolleys. Likewise if you are a computer game fan then this is a perfect time as long as the batteries last?
Unfortunately neither a bookworm nor a computer game fan I have continued my search for the illusive in flight solution. Luckily I have found my flight companion and amazingly it was free. It was during a recent long haul that I was provided with a free eye mask or blindfold. It was whilst trying one of these blindfolds and listening to my mp3 player on a low volume that I felt at such ease that I drifted off into a glorious sleep only to be woke up by the pilots instruction before landing. Who would have thought that a material blindfold could have been so valuable?
